Catalysing partnerships - Personalised Medicine Consortium

The IBBL, the LCSB and the lung cancer demonstration project already act as three strong complementary pillars to catalyse collaborations within the Luxembourg research community, which is composed of more than 300 researchers  divided into 6 public entities  that include the IBBL, the LCSB and the CRP-Santé as well as the Life Sciences Research Unit of the University of Luxembourg, the “ Santec” Department of CRP-Tudor, dealing with health informatics and biomedical engineering, the Nutrition and Toxicology Research Unit of the CRP-Gabriel Lippman, and one private entity , namely the Laboratoire de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire du Cancer. This portfolio of expertise and capabilities has been reinforced by the creation of the Luxembourg Clinical Proteomics Centre (LCP, CRP-Santé).

Public stakeholders involved in the Strategic Partnership Initiative are now formally associated within a Personalised Medicine Consortium (PMC)  that focuses on four main priorities: cancer (lung, breast and colon), Parkinson’s disease, type II diabetes as well as a normal population cohort. This Consortium is open to any actor of the research and medical community that intends to contribute to these common projects.
