Join a young and dynamic biocommunity
In Luxembourg, more than 80% of researchers are foreigners, reflecting the high attractiveness of the country. For newcomers, getting rapidly involved in the local ecosystem is therefore essential to identify the key players as well as the resources and expertise available locally for developing RDI projects at a national level.
Answering these needs for connectivity, the BioHealth Cluster organises regular Networking Events in members’ facilities allowing one company/private actor and one research team from a Public Research Organisation based in Luxembourg to present their activities. A convivial networking session closes the event. Participation in such events is free of charge and open to any actor based in Luxembourg and abroad that is interested in what’s happening in Health Sciences and Technologies in Luxembourg.
Increase your visibility and attractiveness at international level
Taking into account the specificities of the Healthcare Biotech sector characterised by high competition both at the R&D and commercial levels, being rapidly identified as a valuable actor for partnerships and collaborations in the different steps of the value chain is crucial.
Therefore, in collaboration with its partners, i.e.
Luxembourg for Business and the Chamber of Commerce, the BioHealth Cluster organises small delegations to visit and/or participate in international trade fairs, conferences and missions. The Cluster also acts as a communication platform for its members and promotes Health Sciences and Technologies made in Luxembourg at an international level.
Develop your projects
To help turn your ideas into successful projects, the Cluster team provides you with customised support in order to identify relevant information, funding opportunities and partnerships related to your innovation and/or business needs at a national and an international level. The Cluster team also acts as a sectorial one-stop shop to get you connected to the portfolio of support services provided by Luxinnovation, the National Agency for Innovation and Research,.
Improve your national ecosystem
The development of a supportive framework able to attract and retain biotech companies is one key priority to ensure the sustainable development of RDI and/or business activities of all actors of the Healthcare Biotech value chain in Luxembourg. The Infrastructure Working Group initiated within the BioHealth Cluster has identified challenges and bottlenecks associated with the specificities of the existing national ecosystem. The Cluster now supports key stakeholders to set up a proactive Action Plan aiming to address these potential barriers in order for Luxembourg to be recognised as an attractive territory in Europe to run Healthcare Biotech activities.
